As entertaining as Wonderbutt is, after reading of his exploits, why on earth would I want my own?!?
Much more fun (and cheaper) to live vicariously through you!
Oh come on, now. I’m sure you’re just a bit tempted to invest you life-savings in a Wonderbutt of your own.
I haven’t totaled up Savannah’s cost but I do know one thing that I know I can say goes for Wonderbutt too…
Worth every penny. hahaha…
To me, yes. To Cap’n Firepants – I’m not so sure…
I think he knows you are talking about him. He really is too cute though.
He melts my heart, that little ruffian.
Well, on the bright side, you don’t have to put him through college!
This is true. Though it might be worthwhile to invest more in obedience school.
My husband has always loved bulldogs but now I’ve read your post – forget it! I’ll just enjoy Wonderbutt from a distance!
Vicarious bulldog ownership is certainly the safest way to go. I will do the same with your birds!
This is my favourite post of the day! Too funny! 🙂
Thank you so much!
Hey WIM2S – just checked out your blog (a little more comprehensively). MOST excellent!
Thanks so much! I plan to visit yours more often as well!
Hilarious and scary! It would be cheaper to feed Wonderbutt dollar bills! 🙂
I agree. I wonder how those might effect his digestive system…
I can feel your pain. One year we spent over $7,000 on the dogs, surgery twice for 1, surgery for another, multiple Rx’s for antibotics, dog food, etc. Not to mention replacing destoyed belongings. I wish I could tell you it gets better. You just love them inspite of it all.
I do still love them. I’m not sure my husband would agree, though…
A bargain! Especially since you’re paying!
Wait a second. I thought you agreed to pay half. I’m pretty sure that was in one of your comments awhile ago. I’m gonna go back and find proof…
I can’t afford one right now with the new baby coming! At first the pictures didn’t come up on my email as I was reading and I thought he had ruined your new floor already, but then I realized he was the cause for you getting it. 🙂
Yes, you certainly don’t need a bulldog puppy at this point in your life! Although, it might be cheaper in the long run than another child…
Haha….I have a granddog bulldog …. I’ll just stick to my little lap dog rescues 🙂
Wonderbutt thinks he is a lapdog, and he has rescued me from depression many days.
I ‘d have given up counting money by now….WB is now a firmly in place family member, he just thinks that he rules the roost!!
Oh. He definitely rules the roost. No arguments there.
I guess I’ll never get a bulldog.
But it was totally worth it all, right? You know you love Wonderbutt.
Yep. I really do love that little money pit.
Wow that’s a lot of cash!
Who said anything about cash? We are in debt up to our hair follicles now!
Maybe the economics get better the more bulldogs you own. Then each bulldog would only be responsible for a share of the floor.
I’ll try floating that suggestion to my husband, but I have a feeling he will not agree with the logic.
Awww, that look is priceless! I can’t talk about the $$$, I’ve raised a puppy myself so I can only commiserate.
It’s probably best not to start adding it up. After all, I gave up on adding up my daughter’s expenses after a year.
OMG…Wonderbutt puppy is too, too precious. NO one could resist that face! He is truly priceless!
I agree – most of the time.
What El Guapo said…..lol
You don’t know what you’re missing – besides the mountain of debt, I mean.
Ouch. Now I know why we don’t have a dog. Two kids are enough then.
Two kids might trump my one kid and two dogs, I think.
You’re worth it Wonderbutt!
Bella and DiDi
Don’t encourage him!
🙂
Trade you all my cats for one Wonderbutt 🙂
Sorry. I love that crazy little money sucker.
Wonderbutt is adorable! I had a bulldog puppy of my own, and yeah – vet bills over four years were actually MORE than a thousand bucks. I saved a little bit by enrolling Bruno in Pet Assure (like a vet discount program of sorts), and I had to keep a dedicated savings account for him – I added about 75 bucks a month to it. That just about covered it. A big puppy like this is expensive!
Yes – but he’s worth it. Love that dog!
Saw this tonight and had to share it…
Maybe a similar Wonderbutt experiment is in order…

OMG! That is hilarious! I totally need to try that!
hahaha… I just put it on your new post to… Exercise for Wonderbutt. haha
Perfect. And I don’t even need to get a cat!
