Is This Some Kind of Count-down Clock and I’m Already Dead?

 

 

For those of you who don’t know what this picture shows, it is part of the toolbar on my resurrected Mac.  The cartoon looking bubble icon indicates the number of instant messages waiting for me to view.

HOW THE HECK DO I HAVE  NEGATIVE ONE MESSAGES?

Seriously, how is this possible?

I’m thinking:

a.) it is warning me that someone sent me a very negative instant message, like, “You are stupid.  Stop writing dumb blog posts,”

2.) someone sent me a message, then thought better of it, and somehow managed to retract it – perhaps, “I am giving you a million dollars for being such a great person!”,

III.) my daughter somehow programmed it to reflect the number of arguments with her that I’ve won in the last week, or

Quatro) my Mac now knows the current balance of my checking account.

Sadly, my incomparable Google search skills revealed nothing.

If I don’t post again in two days, you will know that my computer either took out a hit on me, or somehow convinced me to try out for lead vocalist for this band.
